Rugby is arguably the most fitness-intensive women's sport around. It requires speed, stamina, dexterity, strength, balance, and lightning reflexes. Develop a team with these foundation skills, and you're on your way to championships.

In the spirit of women's rugby community building, Tackle Girls has taken on the challenge of posting one new drill per week (or as often as we can!) Each drill has been tested and approved by other lady ruggers as appropriate for improving one or more of the key areas of women's rugby fitness.

Where do we plan to find these miracle drills? You! We're sure that every team has at least one great rugby drill up their sleeve, and we're betting that you'll be willing to share your favorite rugby drills! There's nothing better than a nice, tight, well played game of rugby. Games like that only happen when both teams know what they're doing (more or less), so every drill we share increases the chances of an awesome game every time we step onto the pitch. Now who can say no to that?

To get in on the action and share your favorite (or most effective) drills, just send them to Paula. We'll credit you and your team with the drill, and post a link to your website if you have one. We're also happy to post variations, so if you try one of these drills and have an improvement to suggest, just send us and e-mail and let us know!
